Better Questions for Brighter Futures helps school districts, education cooperatives, employers, civic organizations, families, educators, and students come together to identify what matters locally. Through facilitated forums, stakeholder roundtables, and inquiry-driven workshops, participants move beyond surface-level feedback to explore the durable skills, learning experiences, and community outcomes they believe should be visible in a strong local accountability system.

The process can support districts in developing Local Indicators of Quality, strengthening Portrait of a Learner or Graduate work, identifying meaningful evidence, and creating clear documentation for boards, community partners, and public reporting. Engagements may range from a single launch conversation to a multi-phase regional process that includes stakeholder mapping, indicator design, synthesis, and a public-facing accountability framework.

This work also helps strengthen the bridge between education and workforce partners. Employers gain a constructive way to communicate the skills they need, while educators and community members help ensure that local measures reflect the broader purposes of learning—not simply the needs of one sector.
